Managing Alzheimer’s as a chronic illness is possible, just like living well with diabetes or epilepsy. Our family has firsthand experience with chronic diseases—our mom and Kevin have asthma, and Kim has overcome thyroid cancer. We’ve learned how to thrive despite these challenges, and we’ve applied that knowledge to caring for our mom.
